Maybe this view of the map will help you understand where we are exactly. We live in the capitol city of St. Thomas called, "Charlotte Amalie". It is more like a town. There are no tall sky scrapers or even any really big shopping malls. The entire island is only 13 miles long and about 4 miles wide. There are three "major" U.S. Virgin Islands. They are, in order of size from biggest to smallest: St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John.
